Joan Osborne, "Santa, What Do Bad Girls Get?"
It seems like a good time for a mellow, but non-traditional, Christmas song.
Tonight, we'll sing some Christmas carols around the piano, just the three of us, nibble on Christmas cookies, and drink cocoa and mulled cider.
Tomorrow, we'll open presents in the morning, and we'll go over to my little sister's house (she'll always be my little sister, even though we're all in our 50s now) for Christmas dinner. My mother and all the sibs and spouses will be there.
So what's up with y'all for the holidays? May you all have some pleasant time with family and friends to look forward to.
Update: I didn't mean to rain on Sir Charles' parade - I typed up this post yesterday evening, set the timer so it would appear at 12:01 a.m. today, and went to bed, figuring that chances were slim that he'd be posting in the few hours in between.
I'll leave this post up for the song, but I'm closing comments for this thread just to keep all the Christmastime chat in one place.
Further update: but I'm adding the Christmas Badgers, because that's how I roll.
