The Guardian of the UK, along with the New York Times are simultaniously publishing real time logs and reports from the war in Afghanistan.
Maybe this is the wake-up call that we need. I have long agreed with folks like Sam Fuller, Sam Pekinpah, and John Ford, that if you wanted a truly anti-war film all you need to do is to show what happens. Take the time to wade through these extensive logs and reports. You'll find out things like:
We have a team of combined Special Operations types. They are hunting and killing Taliban leaders. Except, of course, when they make mistakes and shoot kids.
Our "allies" from Pakistan may, or may not be on our side.
It is time to absolutely reconsider this adventure. People, our people, the Afghan people, the Pakistani people, Iranians, and a host of other innocent bystanders are dying. Dying in great numbers, every single day.
Why?
