From 1978, somewhere at the nexus of the Ramones and the Bay City Rollers. I saw these Irish lads open for the Clash in 1979 --preceded by Jamaican DJ Mikey Dread and followed by Sam & Dave -- a brilliant, eclectic show.
Sir Charles is heading off at the crack of dawn to the Caribbean for nine days. I feel slightly guilty, yet somehow I'll manage to get over it.
