we all know bush has no sense of history (especially anything outside his ranch in texas) but you'd think tomy blair might have clued him in - the book Andrew Sullivan quotes from is quite good - the mesopotamia mess - explains a lot about what is going on in iraq today. maybe john mccain should read it to, because we can be there 100 years and never win - the brits were there for 44 until they were finally chased out
