Stanley looking sad and bewildered upon learning that Rick Scott returned his rescue dog, Reagan, who appears to have been used as a campaign prop.
I did not really think my opinion of America's super villain governor could get lower, but should have remembered that he always exceeds negative expectations.
(It should be noted that Stanley had the pleasure of meeting our friend big bad wolf on Sunday and had the dog equivalent of a smile on his face as he jumped on him repeatedly -- hey you can't really expect a dog this cute to be well trained too.)
wow. what a guy rick scott is.
just rolled in from my flight back. have to tell y'all that photos, no matter how good, just don't do stanley justice. he's stunningly cute

One of the comments says the dog couldn't handle reporters, so they found had to find it a new home.
So... Why didn't they ever answer? Why wouldn't anyone know about that? And where's the press release about that?

i read somewhere that the dog didn't like people holding things like cameras, and it barked at one of the staff. real dog people believe these are fairly common behavior problems that can be resolved with training; and that somebody with several houses and staff can manage to find that training.
he stressed that this was a "rescue" dog -- there must have been some up side to mentioning that. all adopted animals come with their own personalities and experiences; obviously, it is best to find one that seems to fit with the family, and then work with whatever comes up. but pet adoption is a serious obligation. you don't just return them like a dress that didn't quite fit fabulously.
all our pets were rescues that we adopted. and they all have had quirks. junior dog, for example -- her hobby is trying to kill the mailman via fierce barking from behind the garage door, and she has done this every day for 9 years, except sundays. junior dog is also deathly afraid of cats, squeaky toys, and cameras -- she will cower under furniture for squeaky toys and cameras. go figure. my husband loves this dog more than any creature on earth.
