"Doom and Gloom" - Rolling Stones
Not a bad effort by the boys. It could be Sully's new theme song.
I laugh at poor Andrew, but I have to admit I am obsessively trolling for new polls, new data, new analysis. Nate Silver is lucky that I don't have his phone number or his email. Sam Wang too.
I will be live blogging the debate -- from the glamorous comfort of my Hartford, CT airport hotel -- although I tend to think it will be anti-climatic. The combination of the subject matter -- the already well-trodden Middle East and China territory -- the seated format, and the geriatric Bob Schieffer moderating all suggest a less than scintilating evening.
I will eventually give my election predictions; right now I tend to be pretty influenced by how Mr. Silver sees it. My gut reaction is that Colorado and Virginia are going to both migrate into the Obama column on the strength of greater than expected minority voting. In other words, we are now in a turn out contest, and I remain convinced that Obama has the best operation in the business.
I will rejoin you this evening. In the meantime, let me know what I've missed today and how you are all feeling about things.
