As for the killing of Osama bin Laden, Mr. Obama did what virtually any commander in chief would have done in the same situation.
Hmmm...how about the commander in chief you used to work for, Karl?
Let's see now: on March 13, 2002, President George W. Bush said bin Laden wasn't much of a concern to him anymore, and that same year, Bush pulled Special Forces from the bin Laden hunt in Afghanistan to prep for Iraq. Bush shut down the CIA's bin Laden unit altogether in 2006.
No, not any C-in-C would have done that. Most of them would have, I'm sure, including most of the Republican Presidents during my lifetime. But your President didn't.
And the notion that Obama was simply finishing a project that Bush got underway is bullshit as well. Like I said, Bush shut down the CIA's bin Laden unit in 2006; after Obama took office, he had to reconstitute from scratch the effort to track down bin Laden.
Maybe every President from FDR to Bill Clinton would have done the same. But George W. Bush, who was President (thanks in no small part to Karl Rove) when bin Laden's operatives brought down the World Trade Center towers, didn't.
So Karl, please take this piece-of-shit argument, and stick it up your ass. Then kindly fuck off. Thanks.
