Congress is preparing to once again consider the infamous—and dangerous—USA PATRIOT Act. Since the PATRIOT Act was reauthorized by the Obama administration in February 2009, we've seen continued abuses of national security letters by the FBI, surveillance of peaceful activist groups, and entirely new forms of surveillance. Now, the government's power extends even beyond the PATRIOT Act's authorities to include virtual strip searches by TSA at the nation's airports. It's time for Congress to address these violations of our most fundamental rights and values—but we know from experience that won't happen unless We the People demand it.
Join us in Washington, DC, on Thursday, January 27, 2011 to meet with your members of Congress and encourage them to stand up for your rights.
