Yesterday was the first official day of summer, even though temperatures have been rising well into the nineties for weeks now. So far we're dealing nicely, thank you: as long as there's sweet tea and cold watermelon in the fridge--and a ceiling fan set on high--we're more than happy. Everyone gets to hang out in shorts and tank-tops at Casa Tornello--just don't ask Mama to wear a backpack filled with a whole child while she mows the lawn. Or to mow the lawn, period. Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue.
