Women's Healthcare Services will close for one week to mourn the murder of Dr. Tiller. After that, they will reopen, "back to 100 percent." Considering how few choices there are for women who need the services this clinic provides, it's especially heartening to see them persevere in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger. . .through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing.
Those words are from the sixth chapter of 1 Corinthians in the Christian Bible. Paul also understood what it was like to be persecuted by the so-called people of God for doing the work of God.
