To lose someone when you least expect to can definitely be heartbreaking. It is a good move for Judy Trunnell to immediately seek the help of a wrongful death attorney, especially if the case is a potential high profile such as death by swine flu.

Mark, Judy was the victim here; her husband is the one looking into legal action.

"mark" is a legal ad. i wonder what the governing bar ethical rules are about advertising disguised as "comments" on a blog.

bbw, yeah, I noticed that. As to your question, I am going to guess comment spam would be viewed the same way as regular e-mail spam under the Can Spam law(s), though I'm not certain those have much in the way of teeth. As to ethics and bar standards, though, it's something about which you and Sir C could comment with far more authority than I!

the legal advertising laws vary from state to state, so it is hard to know for sure, sitting where i am, how "mark's" would be treated. it might turn on where your server is.

i don't want him punished (you know how soft i am :)). i just wish he'd go buy a real ad and not muck up your site

They sound like they have a pretty strong case, but it will also be hard to prove. My condolences go out to his family.
