Wooooo! Congratulations Paul Krugman!
I'm not much of a New York Giants fan, but I've long thought if somebody were to offer me a free customized football jersey, I'd get an NY Giants jersey that said 'Krugman' on the back. Because he writes for the NYT and all. And because I'm a total dork.
I'll second that. I was very glad to read in the paper this morning that Krugman had been so recognized.

I know eff-all about economics, so I can only respond to the optics of the award. Bush has done more for Americans winning Nobel Prizes than any president: Carter, Gore, and now Krugman. Even if the award contains not a whit of political statement, Bush and his policies have become the inspiration for many to do great things.

Excellent. That should send the right into a further froth.
And yes, a Krugman jersey would indeed say total dork like few other things.

The Giants? Why not make it a Tre Kroner sweater?

Total Dork here.
I have an autographed copy of his Conscience of a Liberal, snagged by a friend for me at Netroots Nation.
Swoon!

Revealing your wish to have the jersey is quite dorky but one of your co-bloggers here has bragged about naming all of the presidents in order, even the ones with funny beards. Many of us could get most of them, a few all of them, but to be a real dork, you need to brag about it.

Watch yourself there drip. I'm part of the unhinged left, you know.
