Appointments Speculation
For folks who enjoy highly speculative stories about the people who will staff potential Obama and McCain administrations, these pieces from the American Bar Association's magazine are likely to be of interest. Naturally, the focus is more on the legal positions in the executive branch (Solicitor General, Attorney General, White House Counsel, etc.), but the upside is that both pieces go deeper into the administrations than other articles I've seen, which seem to assume that no one exists outside the chief of staff and cabinet positions. Without getting into the substance of these issues, I think we've all learned that a President's choice for, say, White House Counsel can be an extremely consequential decision.
That said, take it all with the proverbial grain of salt.
