Rachel Maddow gets her own show.
It's worth pointing out that unlike Olbermann, who in an earlier time would probably be less partisan and more "anti-BS", and who may to turn to that mode again when life calms down, Maddow is a forthrightly liberal commentator. If you're a Nielsen household, do your duty and watch her show!
What thrills me besides the fact that she's a bona fide liberal is that she raises the collective IQ of the commentariat by a huge amount. She increases the seriousness of the debate.

Uh, did you somehow anticipate that I'd be bringing some JohnnyDrama to this blog?
Unfortunately I can't close the tag because I'm going to bed.
Oh, yes, and congratulations to Rachel who is liberal and very smart as Percy says.

Rachel is a FANTASTIC journalist, and the fact that KO gave her his guest-anchor spot speaks to his respect for her intelligence and wit, I think. She's a Rhodes scholar, yes, but she's also possessed of such wit and cleverness...
Oh, hell, let me just say that I am thrilled to bits. What great news.
HOORAY for Rachel!

Not that kind of Johnny Drama, but it is funny.
