Catching up on the Tivo ...
Man, I hope the rest of the show turns out better than the first episode. How did they let Jaclyn Smith get past initial casting? She's completely unenthusastic about hosting the show. Maybe Heidi Klum is just as unenthusastic about Project Runway, but her accent hides it. It also feels like the producers have a 33 minute show that they have to add 9 minutes to in order to fill the hour, between the extraneous clapping and the exceedingly long elimination sequence. The judges should be able to come up with more interesting things to say about hair to cover the gap.
I'm surprised the producers didn't override the judges' decision to cut Oshun, since he would have yielded and endless supply of amusing quotes.
