I Ain't Sayin' He's a Gold Digger

CBS News reports on the impact impact Cindy McCain's inherited fortune has had on John McCain's early political career, and underreported story largely due to the passage of time. In addition to the fact that McCain's first run for Congress depended heavily on wealth that he married into, the then-42-year-old McCain courted the then-25-year-old Cindy Hensley while still married to his first wife. In addition to his wife's political fortune, McCain used the Hensley family's connections to earn the good graces of "Duke" Tully, publisher of the Arizona Republic. How's that for family values?

Remarkably, Carol McCain [nee Shepp] and the Senator appear to be on good terms. But as with Reverend Wright and Obama, someone is going to have to go there during the general election.

"But as with Reverend Wright and Obama, someone is going to have to go there during the general election."

Well, let's see here. John McCain had an extramarital affair, divorced his wife and married a rich woman.

The two most celebrated men in the democrat party (Clinton and JFK) had multiple affairs and humiliated their wives.

McCain and his first wife have a good relationship now. After returning from Vietnam as a hero, where he went through years of torture (even though he could have went home, but he would not leave his men behind), he wins an election to congress.

Barack Obama's pastor and spiritual mentor of 20 yrs (married Obama and his wife and baptized his children) turns out to be racist and blames the spread of AIDS to the black community on the US gov't. He blames 9/11 on the US gov't. He claims the US gov't invented crack explicitly to put blacks in jail. He refers to Italian's "garlic noses", etc., etc. etc. etc. Barack Obama had been in this man's church for 20 yrs, yet claims no knowledge of the pastor's extreme views, even though he prevented Reverend Wright from attending his announcement for the candidacy to be president because the pastor's sermons were a little too extreme. Even though most of the pastor's anti-American and racist statements were sold by the church as 'Best of Reverend Wright' DVDs and published in church newsletters.

Hmmmm, I wonder which one will fly with mainstream, white America.

And don't forget Cindy McCain -- drug addict, pilfering prescription drugs from a charity, adultress, etc. -- all in all a charming choice for first lady.

Just imagine if the likes of abg had ammunition like this on Michelle Obama -- we'd never hear the end of it. Of course, she's not a skinny blonde.

"Just imagine if the likes of abg had ammunition like this on Michelle Obama -- we'd never hear the end of it."

Well, Michelle Obama was never proud of her country her whole adult life until her husband was on the road to becoming the democrat nominee.

I think she wrote some paper in college too. How she is oppressed by whitey, while she was attending an ivy league college. Oh, the oppression she must have went through.

Better lay off the scotch there chief.

Drug addicted, drug stealing, charity ripping off, adultress.

Unlike Cindy Loo Hoo, I can at least make it until the end of the work day before having to self medicate.

Well, given that we are comparing Obama's lack of judgement about his racist, America hating pastor to McCain's lack of judgement regarding his 30 year past infidelity, I guess all you can do is attack McCain's wife.

What office is Cindy McCain running for again?

Re: McCain's judgment -- three words -- Iraq Fuckin' War.

As to what office pill poppin' Cindy is running for -- none -- would that stop you and your right wing brethren from viciously attacking a Democratic spouse similarly situated? Not a fucking chance -- and if you suggest otherwise you're just lying. Of course you as a right wing Republican, chances are that if your lips are moving, you are lying.

Wow, you must be getting hammered. All that vile coming out of your keyboard. Do you blow your father with that mouth?

As far as Iraq goes, most of the senate dems(along w/Bill Clinton, Sandy Burglar, Maddie Albright and Al Gore in the late 90s) made a stronger case for war in October 2002 than Bush or McCain did. Do I need to post their quotes? Their is a whole list of them from Hillary to Rockefeller to Kerry and so on talking about Saddam's WMD program being "an imminent threat" and how we "know" Saddam is trying to develop a nuke and so on. Do you want to see them? I got them at my fingertips.

As far as me being some kind of right wing hack, wrong. I thought we should have went to Iraq cuz the whole world (French intell, German intell, Russian intell, UN intell, US intell, etc.) thought Saddam had WMD. Knowing what I know now, it was a mistake. Saddam kept Iran in check. But we are there. If we leave, millions of innocent people will likely be slaughtered along with other negative ramifications of pulling out early.

But if you are going to blame Bush or McCain for Iraq, you must also blame all the dems who made the case for war in 2002. Hell, Hillary voted for the war without even reading the intell report, she just took other people's word for it. What kind of leader would vote to send troops into battle without even reading an intell report for herself? But that is besides the point.

If you refuse to aknowledge the democrats complicity in this, you lack intellectual honesty. If that is the case, who would be the political hack?

Let me know if you want to see those quotes from the senate floor.

abg,

Of course the dems, particularly people like Hillary Clinton, were complicit in the war. They went with the political tide and showed little in the way of foresight or courage in this matter. That's one of the major reasons that I support Obama.

Bush and his criminal band, however, clearly bear the onus for this unspeakable debacle.

McCain deserves special scorn for his continued pretense that "the surge" and military force in general is going to solve the problems of Iraq.

It's a shame we will likely never meet -- I would invite you to repeat the comment re: my father and then would have the pleasure of watching you trying to pick your teeth up off the ground with your broken fingers.

"It's a shame we will likely never meet -- I would invite you to repeat the comment re: my father and then would have the pleasure of watching you trying to pick your teeth up off the ground with your broken fingers."

It's easy to be a tough guy behind a key board on the internet. Especially when you got a quart of liquid courage in you.

Ah, Sir C, I wouldn't waste your time responding to this clown. If memory serves, abg is the same guy who defended Huckabee's early release of a rapist, you know, the one who hurt a Clinton cousin? And who then went on to murder a young woman? Pretty sure it's the same illiterate commenter. He lies about and pretty much misspells everything, and like a good little mini-Führer-in-training, says "democrat party" instead of "Democratic Party" as per Herr Karl's list of talking-points.

Yawn.

"If memory serves, abg is the same guy who defended Huckabee's early release of a rapist, you know, the one who hurt a Clinton cousin?"

Sorry, your memory doesn't serve. I never defended Huckabee on that. I just pointed out Jim Guy Tucker's role in that debackle when you hypocrits tried to act like it was all huck's doing.

See, you idiots can't differentiate pointing out hypocrisy to defending.

For example, I point out that you all embrace a pedifile (Stubbs or Studds, that MA congressman who died not to long ago), I point out that you all embrace him for having sex with a minor, yet the republicans want foley and craig out. But you take that as defending foley and the craig.

Can you see the difference? Maybe you can't. Get back with me when you comprehend the difference.

By the way, i write democrat party cuz it pisses you all off. Kind of like calling you liberals when you want to be called progressives, cuz your ideas has turned "liberal" into a bad word to most Americans. Why do you think most democrat politicians refuse to acknowledge they are liberal?

D.

Agreed.

"cuz your ideas has (sic) turned liberal into a bad word."

Res ipsa loquitur.
