Michael Tomasky has an informative and intriguing piece in the New York Review about how a fight over the Florida and Michigan could delegates could play out in the event of a race that goes down to the wire. I was sort of hoping that none of it would matter, but this morning it's seeming very important. For what it's worth, according to Tomasky, the political leaders in both states are not interested in rerunning their elections, and are confident they won't have to. That could change, of course, but it seems to me that a settlement of some sort, in fairly short order, is the way to go.
You just can't punish the people of these two large and hugely important states. Let their paying for the new primaries be there punishment!!!!! BUT----let's make these two election huge tests in another way!!!Decide once and for all on a modern, effective ballot system----WITH A CLEAR PAPER TRAIL FOR POSSIBLE RECOUNTS, that would be a proud, just ,and honorable system to show the world >HOW ONE RUNS A FAIR & DEMOCRATIC ELECTION--- We're always saying we're the World's Greatest Democracy! Let's prove it!!!!!!!!!!!!
